Homemade Furniture Polish and other helpful tips

A quick and easy homemade wood furniture polish can be made with one part lemon juice and two parts vegetable oil.  Combine, shake and use on a clean, soft cloth.

Need a homemade furniture polish remover?  Try equal parts of vinegar and water rubbed on with a clean, soft cloth.

A super secret way to remove those unsightly water rings on your wood furniture is to rub the area generously with mayonnaise and leave it to sit overnight.  The next day, buff the area with a soft cloth and the ring should be gone!  Note that severe rings may require more than one application.

Stuck drawers?  Run a bar of soap on the runners and it with slide smooth as silk!

Remove wax drippings from wooden furniture with a hair dryer set to medium heat.  As the wax begins to soften, wipe it away with a soft cloth.
