Make Your Own Olive Garden Salad Dressing Clone

2010 February 8

Gone Frugal Olive Garden Salad Dressing Clone When people first learn that I like to do clone recipes of well known foods from various restaurants and stores one of the most common requests I get is for help making a homemade Olive Garden Salad Dressing clone.

If I am to be entirely honest, the salad dressing is the only thing I truly enjoy about eating at the Olive Garden at all so being able to make a clone of their dressing was pretty high on my priority list a few years ago.  Since then I make so many different salad dressings from scratch that I really only pull this one out when someone requests it.

While this one isn’t exact (there are no preservatives in it and a lot less ‘junk’), it comes pretty darned close.  I replace corn syrup with honey in this case, but you might also try agave nectar or a sugar substitute if you like.  Give it a try and let us know what you think!
